Murray Street Vineyards, Greenock, Borossa Valley

2008 Red Label Cabernet Sauvignon

Price: $35.00
2008 Red Label Cabernet Sauvignon"

The Barossa Valley is our home. The abundance of sunshine in summer and icy cold winters, combined with ancient soils and a rich history of viticulture in the region make the Barossa the best place in the world to make irresistibly big, rich robust red wines. This wine best expresses the bright fruit harvested from this vintage in the Barossa. The Barossa experienced above average temperatures from August to November with a lower than average rainfall. However good rains in the later part of the year provided an exceptional start to the growing season. Despite the March heat wave and the attention it attracted, the 2008 season and vintage period demonstrates how management of the vineyard and winemaking approaches need to adapt to such extreme conditions.

Varietal Composition Cabernet Sauvignon

Aging 18 months in new and old French oak and old American oak
