So this is my crack at an old favorite.

Now it's no secret that Cabernet is not one of my favorite varieties. It's a pain to manage in the vineyard and winery and to be honest I just cant be bothered. However, when a good batch of Cab comes along, it's hard to ignore it. Part of me likes the challenge, the other part is just that I'm a glutton for punishment.

Despite all this, there is no denying that when you take rich juicy Shiraz and add some Cabernet with good structure, the result is one bloody good wine!

Anyway, I'm not sure why this blend isn't done more often; it's truly delicious. I've kept away from new oak here and let the fruit tell its own story.
