2016 Trip Advisor #1 destination
in the Barossa Valley
Murray Street Vineyards, an address for some of the finest, hand-crafted wines in the world. Each of our wines is a true expression of our Barossa landscape.
This a wine that can only be described as a ‘win-win’.
Here we have a wine of both rusticity and accomplishment.
An obvious nod to the noble style of the Northern Rhone’s Cote Rotie, Shiraz-Viognier has evolved a great deal.
Leather, spice, wet stones, earth, mint… this is a wine as much about landscape and surroundings as it is grapes and vines.
A wine bursting with aromas of ripe cherry and plum, backed with an array of sweet spice and liquorice notes.
There is an inherent ‘detail’ here - a ripeness of fruit carefully balanced with a gentle hand of acidity.
There is nothing old-fashioned about this wine, but we bet our pioneering, Barossa growers would recognise its signature fruit, weight and length. Classic.
The region’s holy trinity: Grenache; Shiraz and Mataro (in whichever order) is designed to be more than just a catch-all.
Texturally generous with stone fruit richness, tangerine skin high-tones and a touch of marzipan sweetness. Finishes dry and long.
Generous, while still staying in the fresh and bright spectrum – green apple crispness through to apricot and acacia honey richness.
Racy wine with real acceleration from green and yellow citrus flavours through to hints of spicy ginger and lemongrass. Fine and delicate.
Bracing and thirst-quenching rose composed around crunchy, berry fruit and a hint of fresh orange.
